Useful Tips On Buying A New Motorhome
It can be a very exciting yet daunting step, but purchasing a brand new motorhome allows you to join the prestigious motorhome club. Be at home amongst the adventurous people that pound the highways and begin new explorations.
Consider the financial implications of owning a motorhome against the savings you will make in the long run by avoiding extortionate hotel rates that are invariably common. However with a new Motorhome you’d be able to travel more frequently and set off whenever the feeling takes you without going through the hassle of booking. The flexibility and freedom of taking things at your own pace and visiting new and exciting locations is an attractive proposition.
Despite the relatively high cost of even an entry-level Motorhome, when you consider the driving and the weather conditions that the vehicle has to contend with, as well as maintaining comfortable living accommodation inside, it is little wonder why you will spend well into the thousands for a new Motor home.
There are a number of everyday factors to consider when purchasing your new Motorhome. Consider the sleeping space of the vehicle, bearing in mind that you will be spending a significant amount of time inside. Living space and cooking areas are more important to families with children rather than couples, with safety and comfort paramount. If your children will be travelling with you in the Motorhome ensure that there are enough seats fitted with seatbelts for the journeys.
The overall cost and significance of your purchase means that a test drive is most definitely encouraged before agreeing to any deal. Test the vehicle with the rigours of a variety of driving situations, from winding country roads to expansive motorways. You will be spending a large percentage of your time in your new Motorhome and you should ensure that the mechanics of the vehicle will not let you down.
Obviously there is no definitive answer when it comes to choosing your ideal new Motorhome, but there are a host of vehicles out there tailored to meet the various requirements of casual and regular travellers.

Camping in winter

Making the bold decision to venture out in to the wilderness can still be an exciting holiday experience. Camping in the winter months does however require careful planning in order to cope with the potentially hazardous elements that can be found towards the end of the year.
There are a number of factors to overcome when setting off for your winter camping experience. Keep in mind that everything takes roughly twice as long to achieve in the winter, such as setting up camp, cooking and washing. For quick and efficient cooking, a host of gas products provide the ideal portable solution for cooking in a clean and safe environment.
With sub-zero temperatures very often endured by winter campers, keeping warm and insulated is a major factor in remaining comfortable. Sleeping bags for winter camping are a vital ingredient in ensuring a good night’s sleep. With sleeping bags suitable for indoor and outdoor use, these can also be zipped together to create a double sleeping bag.
Insulating yourself from potential frost-bitten ground is made even easier with durable PVC groundsheets that help maintain your body heat.
Invariably you will be travelling to areas that provide very little shelter in the winter months. Equipping yourselves with a tent that meets the demands of winter travel is easier said than done. There are a number of factors to consider when selecting a tent for purchase. It must be strong and able to withstand the elements, with plenty of internal space to store bulky camping accessories.
Personal hygiene can also be a major concern in the winter wilderness, but your privacy can be secured with a selection of Toilet Tents that can stand alongside your sleeping tent and thus keep your living area to an acceptable level of cleanliness.
Life in the expanse of a winter camp site can leave you without even the bare necessities such as clean water. Planning ahead and using a fresh water container will keep you hydrated and ready to tackle the next day of your winter camping experience.

Winter Care For Your Caravan

Despite the fact that caravanning can be enjoyed all-year-round, it is well worth noting the most successful methods to clean and protect your caravan in the winter months. By maintaining your caravan over the cold, harsh months, your caravan will be able to withstand the elements and return in the New Year in tip-top condition ready to hit the road.
Purchasing a caravan or motor-home is a significant financial investment and it would be foolhardy not to safeguard your leisure hobby. It is inevitable that your caravan will have taken a significant pounding over the last year, with general wear and tear. This will need to be addressed to counter the impending adverse weather.
External protection of your caravan is paramount and a Large Flow Through Brush can get to work to eradicate a combination of rotting leaves, dirt and other unsightly mess. The brush extends from a length of 120cm to 180cm, and is built with a hose connector that allows water to flow through its soft bristle head to work in tandem.
There are times when a brush and some hot water really just won’t do. A powerful Caravan Cleaner can effectively clean all caravan surfaces and ease the pressure on your shoulders. You can eradicate the need for further waxing, polishing and elbow grease by applying a Protective Coating during rinsing and ensure your Caravan’s exterior is guarded from the elements.
It would be easy to forget about your caravan accessories such as your awnings and gazebos that also take the strain from the weather throughout the year. A thorough Gazebo and Awning Cleaner prevents the growth of moss and algae in damp conditions.
As well as the aesthetic look of your caravan it is imperative to maintain its road lights that are a legal requirement on the motorways. By removing the lenses and cleaning them inside and outside you can prevent a build-up of moisture over the winter and save your bulbs.
Following a thorough cleanse and inspection of your motor home, you can wholly protect your investment by purchasing a Caravan Cover with a range of sizes from 12ft to 23ft to choose from. With superior water resistance and the ability let the structure breathe, these tailored covers provide the perfect finishing touch to the winter care of your caravan.

Justyn and Tanya Greentree fund raising again!

Justyn and Tanya would like to say a massive THANK YOU to all who donated money on the BBQ stand at our Sept 09 Fest Elddis lauch weekend.
Justyn and Tanya Greentree very recently very sadly lost their beautiful daughter Molly Grace Greentree. This was a really tough time for them both and our family. They now spend a lot of their time raising money for a charity The Maternity Patients Fund @ NUH Norwich Charity 072, to raise money for parents who go through exactly what Justyn and Tanya went through which is totally dependent on charity money. They raised £230.21 that weekend and Jus and Tanya have raised £730.21 so far. Brilliant!
